America is in the throes of a horrible internal clash of philosophies and ideologies all coming to the fore in light of Obama's health care proposals.

Here below is an article which has some dangers (not too many though), but gives a good feeling about the prospect of health care become humane and rid of it's consuming greed

The evidence of a need for reform can be found at several free and nearly free medical clinics right here. Hundreds of uninsured patients visit the clinics each week.

The Fayette County Refuge Medical Clinic, one of two non-profit organizations initially funded by Southland Christian Church, opened six months ago to provide free medical, dental and chiropractic care. There are at least six other similar clinics, without which hundreds of uninsured people couldn't be pro-active in their health care.

The other Refuge clinic is in Nicholasville and has been open a year.

The idea began after Southland's senior minister, the Rev. Jon Weece, charged the congregation to make the church more than a building. Members then began several outreach programs, the clinic being one of them.

Bibbs, a recovering addict who was one of the clinic's first patients, voluntarily cleans the bright, well-equipped clinic.

"It's a way for me to give back," she said. "They are a godsend to me. There is such an outpouring of love in this place."

"If we get focused on doing it God's way, all these other issues are non-issues."

The IRFWP extends our praise to The Bishop of London, the Rt Revd Richard Chartres and the Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr Ali Gomaa, for joining together to issue a joint statement.

The power of religion to effect change in the modern world relies upon collaboration.  Religions in isolation no longer exert sufficient influence to guide humanity in a positive direction.

Lahore, Aug. 12 (ANI): The Bishop of London, the Rt Revd Richard Chartres and the Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr Ali Gomaa, have both condemned the recent anti-Christian riots in Gojra that claimed nine persons and left many injured.

"On behalf of the C-1 World Dialogue, we deplore the recent terrible events in Gojra where at least seven Pakistani Christians were killed and many more wounded in a terrible attack," the Daily Times quoted the duo, as saying in a joint statement.

"We stand with those whose lives and property have been damaged and we grieve with those who mourn. The taking of innocent lives, including those of children is deeply shocking," they stated.

They said murder, arson and theft committed in the name of God was both a crime and sacrilege.

"The perpetrators of this attack have committed a crime not only against Christians but against Pakistan and beyond even that, against the honour and dignity of Islam. We call upon all to join us in prayer for those affected and for a better and peaceful future for all the communities of Pakistan," the two leaders said.
