DELHI, India -- Gen. Pervez Musharraf, Pakistan's president, arrived Saturday in India for talks with Indian Premier Manmohan Singh.
Musharraf, who last went to India in 2001, flew to India's Rajasthan state to visit a Muslim shrine and then left for Delhi, the BBC reported.
"We have brought a message of peace from Pakistan," the president said while at the shrine. "I have prayed for peace between India and Pakistan. Development of the countries and people can happen only if there is peace."
Musharraf, who is accompanied by his foreign minister and information minister, leaves for the Philippines Monday.
