Founder, Mark Siljander reports on Bridges to Common Ground

Fall 2015

Blessing be upon you in the name of Jesus The Messiah! Along with the change in seasons, Bridges too is gearing up to further empower the Messianic awakenings happening around the world. Despite the growing instability felt globally, there is still hope to be had within the process of being “transformed by the renewing of our minds.”  One of the places we made a difference this year was in the Central African Republic, where sectarian violence has killed thousands of people over the last few years; displacing an estimated 380,000 and sending 464,000 people fleeing to neighboring countries. As a result, close to half the population needs humanitarian aid. Bridges’ crisis teams visited the Central African Republic twice in 2015 to facilitate steps towards peace making and to offer relief to the displaced. We attended the historic May 2015 National Peace Forum, and in addition, we broke bread and prayed together with the residents of the airport refugee camp outside Bangui.

Please pray with us as we are now launching our end of year campaign — “Building Bridges: Renewing Minds & Impacting Lives.” The campaign goal is to raise $100,000 which will provide the funding for key programs moving forward into 2016. These projects include continued intervention, investment and relief in the Central African Republic, our flagship local Ambassador’s Program in Charlotte, NC and four new publications. We are honored to have several board members ready and willing to offer matching donations dollar for dollar! These programs empower Bridges to further the Messianic awakening and bridge building efforts already in progress.

We invite you to join us by praying and asking for the funding as well as the support team members needed to empower Bridges to continue the life-changing crisis intervention, training, and relief efforts.

Your help in prayer and spreading the word is of significant value! We welcome your prayers for peace and healing on our Facebook page.

Share your Prayers and Hopes for Bridge Building

As always, please feel free to share this newsletter and our website with others.  We are thrilled to be a part of this global awakening. Bearing the fruit of love and carrying the name of Jesus opens the door to impact both individuals and nations. We are honored that you are a part of this “radical” transformation founded upon the renewing of our minds.

Shalom, Salaam & Shlama,

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind”.

A Ministering Presence in CAR

by Doug Fike, BCG Crisis Team Member
During this time on the ground in the Central African Republic (CAR), I’ve been keenly aware of God’s invitation to simply be a spiritual presence (quite literally, ambassadors of reconciliation), to live each day conscious of God’s presence, and to carry and minister His presence moment by moment.
