Most of you know I have been immersed in interfaith work at all levels for close to 40 years, since the mid-1970s
Recently I taught a 40 hour intensive on interfaith to D.Min students at a New York area seminary
Since then, many have written me requesting how to find my course content for their own information and edification. This is similar to the push I’ve received for years that I write a book from my knowledge and experience in this area for peace.
The demand to organize my knowledge sufficiently to present it well under such demanding conditions (as the 40 hour intensive) had the unexpected positive result of creating the foundation finally for me to write this book.
I have at last begun. The tentative title of this book now in progress is Religion and Peace: An Open Door, or possibly simply The Open Door.
While I write, I also will offer content and and passages from the book in this Tumblr blog (http://
kaufmannoninterfaith.tumblr. com/), and I will have the same material on this Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ kaufmannoninterfaith)
(here is a sample post)
Peace among religions is a means to an end, not the end in itself. The goal for our work is a broader peace among all. We look beyond ourselves, and even beyond our dialogue and our reconciliation
I hope you may find some of these thoughts of interest and helpful if you get the chance to visit now and then, or even “like” or “follow” the pages.
Also your feedback, comments, and reactions will be a great help for me along the way
Thanks as always for your time and encouragement
