Interfaith service honors fallen five, calls for solidarity

“How can we set aside our hurts and our pains and our feelings of anger and turn our feelings into hope and faith,” said Siljander. “That’s the story I hope to leave.”

Dozens of of people from different religions came together for an interfaith service at UTC – remembering the sacrifice of the five servicemen.

The program was called “Chattanooga Strong Together.”

Leaders – spoke of the need for solidarity.

Former congressman Mark Siljander of Bridges to Common Ground was the main speaker – and shared his experience of overcoming hate.
